The Monastery Haus Maria im Venn, a modern monastic complex, is located in the southwestern part of Stolberg and serves as the motherhouse of the Sisters of Christ.

History+

The construction of the Monastery Haus Maria im Venn took place between 1970 and 1974. On September 16, 1973, it became the motherhouse of the Sisters of Christ. The inauguration of the associated monastery church was held on November 30, 1974, by Diocesan Bishop Dr. Johannes Pohlschneider. The interior of the church, including a rosary depiction, ambo, altar, and tabernacle, was designed by the goldsmith Peter Bücken. The windows were created by the glass artist J. Beek.
