The Neukirchen Monastery, a Franciscan monastery, is located in Neukirchen beim Heiligen Blut in the Bavarian district of Cham. It is linked to one of Bavaria's Marian pilgrimages and is used as a spiritual and ecological center.

History+

The monastery, dedicated to the Holy Blood, was founded in 1656 by the Bavarian Reform Province of the Franciscans. Initially conceived as a hospice, it developed into a convent by 1661. Neukirchen escaped dissolution during secularization and was established as a central monastery in 1802. The re-establishment of the monastery took place in 1855.
