Petersberg Monastery (formerly also: Lauterberg Monastery) is a former Augustinian canons' monastery located on the summit of Petersberg in the municipality of Petersberg near Halle in Saxony-Anhalt. It was built by Count Dedo IV of Wettin between 1124 and 1142 as a house monastery and burial site for the noble family. From 1142, construction began on the collegiate church of St. Peter, which was completed in 1184. The three-aisled cruciform basilica has an unusual floor plan due to its location on the mountain: the nave is only slightly longer than the transept, and the side aisles appear too wide. The cloister with several cellar levels was built on the mountainside.

After the Reformation, the church was almost completely destroyed by a lightning strike and subsequent fire in 1565. A new church was built, but the pillar spacing (of the nave) was set further apart. In the 19th century, the era of Romanticism, Goethe and Schinkel, among others, advocated for the preservation of the church's ruin. The collegiate church of St. Peter was restored almost true to its original state (as of 1565) from 1853 to 1857 with funds from the Prussian state; the burial chapel had to be demolished in the process. The re-consecration took place on September 8, 1857, in the presence of the Prussian royal couple.

Since 1999, brothers of the Evangelical Christusbruderschaft Selbitz have lived in the monastery. In 2008, construction work began on an extension, including a new prayer room.

The monastery is a stop on the Romanesque Road.
