Kloster Sankt Josef in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz

The Monastery of Saint Joseph was founded in 1920. Following approval by the Bishop of Eichstätt in August of that year, the former Wildbad spa house in Neumarkt was transformed into the provincial motherhouse for what was then the Bavaria-Palatinate province. The monastery's church was consecrated in 1932. Today, approximately 150 sisters reside in the community, many of whom spend their retirement here. A unique feature is the historic healing spring of the former spa house, whose water is now commercially bottled.

The monastery is located in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz, a town in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated at an elevation of approximately 453 meters above sea level.

A significant portion of the monastery grounds is operated by the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer as a publicly accessible hotel, which includes numerous seminar and conference rooms. In addition to these services, the monastery continues to host retreats for sisters from other branches of the order.
