Sankt Mang Abbey
The Monastery of St. Mang in Füssen, located in the Bavarian Ostallgäu, is a historically significant site whose origins date back to the early 9th century. It is distinguished by its long history and its prominent location on the Lech River.

The Monastery of St. Mang was founded in the early 9th century. Originally dedicated to Mary, it received the patronage of Saint Magnus from the 10th century onwards. For many centuries, the convent shaped the religious and cultural life of the region. The monastery's existence ended in 1803 with the secularization, which led to the dissolution of numerous ecclesiastical institutions in Bavaria.

The former Monastery of St. Mang is situated in the town of Füssen in the Bavarian Ostallgäu. It lies at an elevation of approximately 817 meters above sea level, nestled in the pre-Alpine landscape at the edge of the Alps.
