Santuari de la Mare de Deú del Puig

The establishment of this sanctuary was authorized on March 31, 1348, by Berenguer Batle, then Bishop of Palma. The associated church was consecrated as early as 1355. From 1362, the first lay sisters from Pollença lived in the complex, later founding a monastic school and dedicating themselves to elder and sick care. Pope Clement VII confirmed the community in 1388, placing it under the Augustinian rule. Between 1414 and 1564, the monastery was expanded with additional buildings such as a chapter house, dormitory, refectory, and kitchen.
