The origins of the complex trace back to the establishment of the Augustinian Canons Regular monastery, which shaped the religious and cultural life in Landsberg for centuries. Following the secularization and the associated dissolution of many ecclesiastical institutions in Bavaria, the monastery found a new purpose. It was taken over by the Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, who continue the tradition of prayer and charity to this day, breathing new life into the historic walls.

The monastery complex is situated in the town of Landsberg am Lech, a picturesque town in Upper Bavaria. The region is renowned for its rich history and idyllic landscape, characterized by rivers and gentle hills.
