In Kallmerode, Klostergut Beinrode is a historic manor and estate house, distinguished by its Baroque architecture and now serving as a social institution. Originally an agricultural estate, it developed into a property linked to the history of the Cistercian monastery of Reifenstein.

History+

After 1729, the private farmstead of Beinrode was transformed into a Baroque model estate at the behest of Abbot Martin Günther of the Cistercian monastery of Reifenstein. The master builder Johann Christian Heinemann from Dingelstädt was commissioned with the planning and execution. The property temporarily served as a rural boarding school and has been owned by the Provincial Saxon Cooperative of the Order of St. John since 2004.
