The Königshof in Glückstadt was once a royal residence and the first home of Danish King Christian IV in the city founded in 1617. The Wiebke-Kruse Tower shapes the appearance of Glückstadt's harbor.

The origins of the Königshof trace back to a city palace that King Christian IV used as his initial accommodation in Glückstadt. He resided there until the nearby Glückstadt Castle was completed in 1631. In 1638, the king gifted the palace to his beloved Wiebke Kruse. Following a fire in the 19th century, most of the building was demolished; only the tower and the cellars remained.
