Construction and Use as Hunting Lodge
The hunting lodge was built in 1666 by Margrave Albrecht V of Ansbach. Until 1712, it was the seat of the margravial game warden.
Use as an Inn "Zur Krone"
From 1712 to 1919, the castle served as the inn "Zur Krone".
Restoration and Current Use
In 1995, the municipality of Georgensgmünd bought it and restored the castle.
