The Nassauer Haus in Nuremberg is a medieval residential tower built from red castle sandstone. It is the only surviving patrician tower in the city, combining Romanesque origins with Gothic alterations.

History+

The two lower floors and the cellar of the Nassauer Haus date back to the 12th or 13th century. Around 1422, the penultimate floor was redesigned under Jobst Haug. The top floor, known for its heraldic frieze and three corner oriels, was rebuilt around 1433 by Ulrich Ortlieb. The cellar and ground floor received raised vaults in the 16th century.
