The New Abbey Wolmirstedt, a historic monastery in Saxony-Anhalt, stands today as a listed building in the Börde region. The complex, which once housed a Cistercian nunnery, is characterized by its late Baroque architecture and a eventful history.

The origins of the New Abbey Wolmirstedt date back to 1225, when a monastery was founded here. It was dedicated to Saints Catherine and Pancras and was inhabited by Cistercian nuns. From 1577, the institution transformed into an evangelical convent for noblewomen. The current main building, a late Baroque structure, was built in 1732 with a north and south wing connected by a central pavilion and crowned by high mansard roofs. The monastery was dissolved in 1810. Subsequently, the property served as a manor house for the collegiate estate until 1945.
