The New Castle in Petershain, an example of Art Nouveau architecture, stands in the Görlitz district of Saxony. As a former manor house, it is now privately owned.

History+

As early as the beginning of the 15th century, a manor house existed on this site, which developed into a knight's estate by 1578 at the latest. Towards the end of the 15th century, the village came into the possession of the Baruth lordship. At the beginning of the 20th century, Chamberlain von Knorr had a new Art Nouveau manor house built. His family lived in the castle until 1928.
