The Castle can be visited

The New Castle Tangerhütte, modeled after Italian architecture, was constructed at the beginning of the 20th century. It is in the southeastern part of Tangerhütte's city park.

History+

The construction of the New Castle took place between 1909 and 1911. The reason for this new building was the marriage of Johann Jacob Franz Wagenführ von Arnim. The Tangerhütte sculptor Otto Funke played a role in the artistic design of the building. Particularly noteworthy is the carved fireplace mantelpiece in the fireplace room, created by Funke, which bears the Wagenführ family crest.
