In South Wales, near the village of Ogmore, south of Bridgend, at the confluence of the River Ewenny and River Ogmore, is the castle ruin of Ogmore Castle. Its strategic position during the Norman conquest of the region.

History+

The origins of Ogmore Castle date back to 1106, when William de Londres had the castle built as part of the Norman expansion into Wales. The complex served various functions, including that of a courthouse and a prison, before ceasing its use in the 19th century.
