History+

The construction of the Palais Dürckheim took place in 1912/13 according to the designs of the architect Henry van de Velde. The client was Count Friedrich von Dürckheim-Montmartin, whose wife, Charlotte von Kusserow, made the construction possible through her inherited fortune. The three-story noble palace, with its interior, served as a social meeting point and open salon for artists and dignitaries of Weimar until 1928.
