The Eltzer Höfe+
History+
At the beginning of the 18th century, the Dalberg-Hammelburger Hof was built for Baron Franz Philipp Caspar von Wamboldt. In 1743, ownership changed to Baron Hugo Philipp von Dalberg. From 1742 to 1743, the Eltzer Hof was built by the Counts of Eltz. In 1774, the Counts of Eltz bought the Dalberg-Hammelburger Hof and combined it with the Eltzer Hof to form the Eltzer Höfe. The courtyards were destroyed in World War II and rebuilt from 1965-1970.
