The Palais Erzherzog Carl Ludwig is a significant residence in Vienna, located in the 4th district of Wieden. Originally built in the Baroque style, it underwent several transformations and extensions over the centuries, shaping its architecture.

History+

In 1780, Franz Freiherr von Prandau commissioned the construction of a Baroque palace, executed by Adalbertus Hild. At the end of the 18th century, specifically in 1799, architect Franz Wipplinger expanded the complex with two side wings and a street-facing section, creating a representative courtyard of honor. In the mid-19th century, in 1864, the street-facing section was extended by a second floor, and new stables were built.
