The Palais Herman in Memmingen, Bavaria, is a Baroque city palace that once served as a residence for the Herman family. Its four-winged complex with a garden house and Junkerhof is among the Baroque buildings in the city.

History+

The Palais Herman was completed in 1766. Baron Benedict von Herman, a merchant who primarily lived in Venice, commissioned the construction of this palace. It was intended as a residence for his relatives in Memmingen. Benedict von Herman was considered the wealthiest Swabian of his time and ran the largest German trading company in Venice. The palace hosted figures such as King Ludwig I, Emperor Franz I, and Tsar Alexander.
