The Palais Inzaghi, a former city residence in Graz, is located in the first district, Innere Stadt. It is an example of the transitional style from Baroque to Classicism, characterized by its angled main facade and Josephinist-Classical design.

History+

The origins of Palais Inzaghi lie in two separate houses. Between 1750 and 1775, Count Franz Anton Inzaghi, Graz's chief theater director, acquired the corner house, which had previously been owned by the Counts of Stubenberg since 1576. Master builder Joseph Hueber was responsible for the renovations. In 1798, Count Johann Nepomuk Inzaghi purchased the smaller neighboring house. In the 19th century, the Palais passed into the possession of the Attems family.
