History of the Landenberg Palace+
The Landenberg Palace was built at the beginning of the the 19th century by Baron Eusebius Franz Sales von Landenberg. In 1850, the palace was converted for use as a school and town hall.
Architectural Features+
The palace is a prime example of neoclassical architecture, characterized by its symmetrical facade and elegant proportions. The interior boasts richly decorated stucco ceilings and original parquet flooring.
The Grand Hall
The Grand Hall, formerly the ballroom, is the most impressive room in the palace. It features large windows overlooking the palace gardens and a magnificent chandelier.
The Palace Gardens
The Landenberg Palace is surrounded by extensive gardens, designed in the English landscape style. They include a variety of mature trees, winding paths, and a picturesque pond.
Current Use+
Today, the Landenberg Palace serves as a cultural center, hosting various exhibitions, concerts, and public events. Parts of the building are also used by the local administration.
