The Palais Schlosserhaus in Emmendingen is a historic residence. Originally known as Gremppischer Hof, it served for a long time as the residence of high-ranking officials and later became the private home of a figure in German intellectual history.

History+

The origins of the palace date back to 1588 when it came into the possession of the Margraves of Baden under the name Gremppischer Hof. From then on, the chief official of the Margraviate of Hachberg resided in this property. The building underwent alterations, which still reveal Baroque elements but also reflect the changes of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
