History of the Palace+
The palace was acquired in the mid-17th century by Canon Wilderich Freiherr von Walderdorff. In 1720, it underwent renovations and extensions to become a baroque noble court. In 1942, the palace was destroyed by aerial bombs and rebuilt in 1974.

The Walderdorff Palace is characterized by its impressive baroque facade. The ornate window frames and the grand entrance portal are typical of this architectural style. Inside, historical stucco ceilings and wall paintings can still be found in some rooms.
Reconstruction after World War II
During the reconstruction in 1974, great importance was attached to preserving the historical appearance. Although modern building materials were used, the original design and the baroque details were largely recreated. This makes the palace a unique example of post-war reconstruction.
Current Use+
Today, the Walderdorff Palace houses various offices and commercial premises. It is also a popular venue for cultural events and exhibitions. The palace thus remains a vibrant part of Trier's city life and a testament to its rich history.
