History+

The construction of Palais Waldersee took place between 1792 and 1795, commissioned by Prince Franz of Anhalt-Dessau. He had the building erected for his son Franz von Waldersee, based on designs by Friedrich Wilhelm von Erdmannsdorff. The plot in the former old town of Dessau was previously acquired by Leopold III. Friedrich Franz of Anhalt-Dessau, requiring the demolition of a dilapidated house.
