St. Catherine’s Parish Church (Haydarpasha Mosque)
Haydarpasha Mosque or St. Catherine’s Parish Church in Nicosia was originally built by the Lusignans in the 14th century. It has been described by Harry Charles Luke as representing one of the finest examples of Gothic buildings on the island.
It was converted to a mosque (the Haydarpasha Mosque) during the Ottoman occupation of the island. More recently it has been a marriage registration office and is currently an art gallery.
