Pilbis Castle

The castle was built in 1540 on the walls of a previous fortress by Leonhard Pilbis, who was married to Klara Feurin von Pfettrach near Landshut. Further owners included Raimund Fasold von Schäsen and Oswald Egg (hereditary marshal and colonel-sergeant). The castle, destroyed in the 30 Years' War, was rebuilt by Nikolaus Bernhard von Egg and Baroness Maria, née Baroness von Königsfeld and Affecking.
