In Rimhorn, located in the Odenwald district of Hesse, stands the Pretlack Palace, a Baroque manor house. Built in 1733, it shapes the local landscape.

History+

The palace was constructed in 1733 at the behest of Johann Rudolf Victor von Pretlack, a Hessian-Darmstadt lieutenant general. Originally, it was part of a larger complex known as Rimhorner Hof, which included a garden and outbuildings in addition to the manor house. Of this former complex, only the one-and-a-half-story manor house with its mansard roof remains today.
