Reifenberger Castle (Weltersburg)
West of the village center, the Reifenberger Schlösschen in Weltersburg is located. This residence, whose origins date back to the late Middle Ages, was once the seat of a noble family and hosted guests.
The origins of the Reifenberger Schlösschen date back to the late Gothic period, with the core of the building stemming from this era. From 1384 until 1671, it served as the seat of a burgmann line of the Reiffenberg family. In the 17th century, the complex was expanded. A personality who once stayed here was Field Marshal Blücher.
The Reifenberger Schlösschen is situated in Weltersburg, a municipality in the Westerwaldkreis district of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is located at an elevation of approximately 386 meters above sea level.
Today, the Reifenberger Schlösschen is privately owned and used as a residence.
