Barnitz Manor

The manor house in Barnitz was built in 1731 by the then estate owner von Köhler. The ensemble includes a knight's estate, in which an agricultural business exists today. From 1912 to 1913, the manor house was rebuilt by the owner Fritz Oehmichen and received a second upper floor. The interior was furnished in Art Nouveau style. After the expropriation and expulsion by the communists in 1945, the building was used as a lending station and later as a residential house. After extensive renovations in 1997 and 2000, a kindergarten is now housed there.
