The Baschütz manor house dates back to a manorial seat from the 11th century. During this time, ownership changed to the Lords of Pannewitz zu Königswartha, the Lords of Nadelwitz, the Lords of Penzig, and the Schlichtigk family. In 1593, the estate was owned by Rudolph von Rechenberg.
