Blochwitz Manor

Blochwitz Manor was owned by the von Lüttichau family for over 350 years, starting in 1439. After this, ownership passed to the Crome family, who were dispossessed in 1945 and shot by the Russian occupation forces. Since May 2004, the manor house has been used as a residential building.

The manor house is a two-story plastered building with a hipped roof. The core of the building dates back to the 16th century. The current appearance was largely shaped by reconstruction in 1770 and a renovation in 1860. The building has a rectangular floor plan of 25 x 10 meters. The facades are structured by simple cornices and window frames. The main entrance is located on the south side and is emphasized by a small portico.

The manor park was laid out in the 18th century as a baroque garden and later transformed into an English landscape garden. It covers an area of about 5 hectares and contains a variety of old trees, including oaks, beeches, and lindens. A small pond and several historical sculptures are also part of the park.

Since 2004, the manor house has been privately owned and is used for residential purposes. The park is accessible to the public and is used for local recreation.
