Broicher Hof Manor

The von Broich family, a Rhenish noble lineage, is first mentioned in 1434 as owners of the estate, which was also known by names such as 'Dürwisser Hof' or 'Der Hofe zu Wyß'. Adam von Broich was enfeoffed with various estates in 1434, including the Hof zu Wyß, which came from his mother's possession. After the childless Johann van Werde gen. Wyß, the estate passed around 1450 to his nephews Adam and Wilhelm von Broich and their stepbrother Simon von Bergrath. In the 15th century, Broicher Hof was among the feudal estates of the Aldenhoven Mannkammer.
