Chriesschwitz was first mentioned in a document in 1122. In 1418, the town was owned by the Burgrave of Nuremberg, who granted half of the outpost in the town to Hermann Koppe & Hans Rossnitz. In 1589, the city of Plauen bought the manor. The current manor house was rebuilt in 1878 on the walls of the previous building. From 1901 until their expropriation and expulsion by the communists in 1945, the estate was owned by the Walter family. After this, it was used by an LPG until 1990.
