The Gaschwitz Manor House was built around 1700 for the von Zehmen family. In 1702, ownership transferred to Friedrich von Hopfgarten. From 1716 to 1722, the estate was owned by Benjamin Magen. Around 1900, the old manor house was demolished and rebuilt by Else Plantier. Later, ownership transferred to the Erhard family, who sold the estate in 1925 to AG Sächsische Werke in Dresden. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed by the communists. From 1947 to 1999, the estate served as a school.
