The Gerbstedt Manor (Rittergut Gerbstedt), also known as the Steuben Manor, is a historic manor house and estate in Gerbstedt, Saxony-Anhalt. Its history of noble owners and Prussian administration dates back to the 15th century.

History+

The first documented mention of the Gerbstedt Manor and its enfeoffment to the von Steuben family occurred after 1442, when Bernd or Hartwig Steube received the property from Counts Volker and Gebhard von Mansfeld. The Gerbstedt line of the von Steuben family ended in 1605 with Christian Ernst von Steuben, after which the estate passed to the Friedeburg line. Despite the acquisition of additional lands, such as the Tresewitz outpost in 1653 by Martin Christoph von Steuben, high debts could not prevent the impending forced sale. In 1720, the property was mortgaged to the Royal Prussian administration.
