History+

The first documented mention of the locality Henningsleben was in 1211. The current manor house was built in 1617 on the foundations of an older building. The estate was owned by the Richter family until they were expelled in 1945 as part of communist expropriations. In 1947, a part of the manor house was demolished. The building material obtained from this was used for the construction of settlement houses for displaced persons.
