History+
A moated castle was built in 1470-74 by Johann von Dincklage. Ownership then changed in 1653 to Frydag zu Buddenburg and in 1682 to Christian Günter von Hammerstein. The latter had the present manor house built on the walls of the old castle in 1693-99. The estate is still owned by the von Hammerstein family today.
