In Mosel, a manor house owned by Fridericus de Musella was first mentioned in a document around 1248. In 1440, Konrad von der Mosel sold the property to the city of Zwickau. In 1464, Elector Ernst and Duke Albrecht enfeoffed the brothers Konrad and Georg von der Mosel with the knight's estate.
