In Mosel, there was a knight's estate in the 15th century. In 1558, the knight's estate was divided into Obermosel I and II. Obermosel II was subsequently owned by Wolf von der Mosel. In 1827, both knight's estates burned down and were subsequently rebuilt by the von der Mosel family.
