Obermosel I Manor

In Mosel, there was a knight's estate in the 15th century. In 1558, the knight's estate was divided into Obermosel I and II. Obermosel II was subsequently owned by Wolf von der Mosel. In 1827, both knight's estates burned down and were subsequently rebuilt by the von der Mosel family. Ownership changed in 1838 to Johann August Stengel, in 1856 to Gottfried Hermann Schreiber, in 1864 to Johann Adolf Porst, in 1895 to Paul Büttner, and in 1905 to the Günther family. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. In 1953, the local LPG took over the property. Today, the estate is privately owned.
