Obermosel II Manor

In Mosel, there was a knight's estate in the 15th century. In 1558, the knight's estate was divided into Obermosel I and II. Obermosel II was subsequently owned by Balthasar von der Mosel. Ownership changed in 1622 to the brothers Johann and Jacob Pfreund, in 1652 to Lebrecht von Metzsch, in 1674 to Christian Heinrich II von der Mosel, in 1715 to Jobst von Milkau, in 1722 to the Brückner family, in 1751 to Ehrenfried Bock-Mäderjan, in 1787 to the von Bünau family, and in 1811 to the Gottlieb Gräßer family. In 1827, both knight's estates burned down and were subsequently rebuilt. Ownership changed in 1902 to Adolf Carl Schedlich and in 1940 to Robert Winter. After World War II, contrary to the usual practice of the communists, the property was not expropriated. In 1963, the then tenant of the manor house - PGH Raumkunst - bought the knight's estate. Since 2006, the estate has been in private ownership.
