Philippshof Manor
The former knight's estate Philippshof is located in the town of Putlitz in the Prignitz region of Brandenburg and once belonged to the noble family of the Edlen Gans zu Putlitz. It was founded in the late 16th century by Philipp Gans Edler Herr zu Putlitz. The estate bears his name.
The manor house, which still stands today, was built in 1895 and remained in the private possession of the zu Putlitz family until the end of the Second World War. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. In 1995, the building underwent extensive renovation costing approximately 290,000 Euros. Until the summer of 2005, it was used as a primary school and then stood empty. The manor house is a listed building.
On December 15, 2005, the manor house was auctioned off.
