Porschendorf Manor

The first documented mention of the estate dates back to February 9, 1560, when Elector August transferred the property to his chief huntsman, Cornelius von Rüxleben. In 1693, the estate changed hands to C. H. von Einsiedel, who sold it to Rudolf von Metzsch. Further owners included Christian Gottlob Sachse in 1769 and the Phillip family from 1802. Until 1830, a barn on the manor served as a school building for local education. Following the expropriation of the owners in 1945, the manor house, likely built in the 18th century, was demolished in 1947. The tower building housed a kindergarten from 1958, which closed in 1996.
