Rossendorf Manor

Rossendorf has its historical origin in a former knight's estate located northeast of Dresden. Its origin probably dates back to 1350. It is referred to as a desolate place "Roslendorf". After the old farmstead burned down in 1634 due to arson, a new farmstead was built at Lockenborn just one year later. In 1840, the lord of the manor, Johann Gottlob von Quandt, built the knight's estate with a new manor house at the current location of the Rossendorf estate. The break-up of the estate in 1945 led to the creation of new farmer settlements. Today, a restoration company is housed in the manor house of the knight's estate.
