A manor in Sahlis is already mentioned in 1350. In 1398, it was first documented as an outwork of Kohren Castle. In 1428, the manor was owned by the brothers von Meckau. In 1445, a knight's seat is mentioned. In 1454, Heinrich Hildebrand von Einsiedel bought the estate.
