The manor was owned by the von Gerstenbüttel family in the 16th century. They erected the manor house in 1577 on the walls of a previous building. After this, ownership changed in 1625 to the Lords of Kißleben, in 1717 to the Lords of Steinberg, and in 1750 to the Völcker family. From 1773 there were many changes of ownership. Since 1977, the estate has been owned by Christian Braun.
In 1886, the manor house was rebuilt.
