The first documented mention of the Schweikershain Manor dates to 1346. Between 1449 and 1451, it was owned by Kunz von Kauffungen. Following his expropriation, the estate played a role in the context of the Saxon Princely Abduction. In 1718, the manor passed into the possession of the von Nostitz-Wallwitz family. This ownership lasted until 1945, when the family was expelled during the communist expropriations.
