Rittergut Silberstraße, a manor and estate house, is located in Wilkau-Haßlau in the Saxon district of Zwickau. It has a connection to regional silver mining, which is also reflected in its name.

History+

The first written mention of the estate dates back to before 1251, then known as Arme Ruh. Around 1470, a bridge was built over the Mulde, serving the silver mining in the Ore Mountains. The then lord, Kunz von Uttenhofen, used this between 1470 and 1479 to request the sovereign's permission to rename the manor and village to Silberstraße. A transformation occurred in 1899, when the then owner, Ernst Gustav Alfred Dautzenberg, had the original building demolished and erected a new manor house in its place.
