Die Anfänge+
Im Jahre 1158 wurde erstmals ein Ritter Konrad von Steinbüchel erwähnt. Die Steinbücheler Kapelle hingegen wurde urkundlich erstmals 1318 genannt.
Das Herrenhaus+
1732 wurde das Herrenhaus des Rittersitzes Steinbüchel durch Moritz von Droste-Senden neu aufgebaut und im Jahre 1806 kam das Herzogtum Berg vom Königreich Bayern an Napoleon. 1999 wurde der Hof in eine Wohnanlage mit 26 Wohnungen umgebaut. Zuvor wurde die Anlage landwirtschaftlich genutzt. Letzter Pächter war die Familie Keienburg.
