Taltitz Manor

A manor house in Taltitz is already mentioned in the 13th century as being in the possession of the Vögte von Plauen. The ownership changed in 1382 to the von Rabe family, in 1418 to the Lords of Tussel, in 1572 to the Lords of Neidberg, and in the 17th century to Wolfgang Ferber. In the 15th century, the knight's estate was created by merging two outworks. In the 16th and 17th centuries, the manor house was built on the walls of a predecessor building. In 1683, the tower, which is still preserved today, was built as a pleasure or garden house. At the beginning of the 18th century, a new manor house was built next to the old manor house. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. In 1947, the old manor house was demolished, and in 1950, the new manor house was demolished. In 1979, the tower was restored. In 2003, the last estate building was demolished.
