A manor house in Taltitz is already mentioned in the 13th century as being in the possession of the Vögte von Plauen. The ownership changed in 1382 to the von Rabe family, in 1418 to the Lords of Tussel, in 1572 to the Lords of Neidberg, and in the 17th century to Wolfgang Ferber.
