Vehr Manor

The origins of Gut Vehr date back to the 13th century, where it initially served as a castle and defensive structure before being transformed into a fortified farmstead. In 1522, the von Schmerten family owned it, and in 1540, it passed to the von Grothaus family through marriage. Around 1650, the estate changed hands from the von Kobrinck and von Schade families to the noble house of von Frydag. In 1783, the von Elmendorff family acquired it.
